FAQ

  • ABOUT ME
I’ve been drawing from a very young age. My earliest memories of me drawing was when I was four years old. I can't say that I learnt to draw anywhere. Its a God given ability. But getting better, as with anything, takes a whole lot of practice. I never went to any art classes as a child. We didn’t have anything like that where I grew up, but I did study 2D Animation at college so that was the first time I got any formal training.
  • WHY DO YOU PAINT WOMEN?
First of all, women are bomb! I'm inspired by different women everyday. Whether it's someone on t.v. or the women in my family. I truly am inspiredly by women in general, but I have always been fascinated by dark, golden skin and curly, afro hair. It is undeniably beautiful. I love celebrating the natural, raw beauty of black women in every shade.
  • HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR STYLE?
I honestly feel like my style took a while to develope. It definately wasn't easy finding it. I use to overthink alot and that kept me from enjoying the process of creating. Once I decided to just let go and allowed my hands and my imagination to take over instead of my head I really started to discover my natural style.
